About The Position

This grant-funded position will support pregnant women and individuals parenting young children. The position will focus on increasing awareness of and response to childhood trauma and its impact on parenting and child development to reduce the transmission of intergenerational trauma. This role will include supervision of student interns, so applicants must have 3 or more years of experience.

Requirements

• Master's Degree from an Accredited School of Social Work
• 3 or more years of experience

Nice To Haves

• 2 years experience as a Medical Social Worker
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
• PA Social Worker License

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient's psychological situation in order to make recommendations to medical personnel.
• Provides direct services that ensure the patient's best use of health care services, including safe and timely discharges.
• Supervises student interns.
