About The Position

As a Social Worker Supervisor, you’ll provide leadership, supervision, and clinical guidance to JASA’s Case Management team at our Older Adult Centers. You’ll help ensure participants receive high-quality, person-centered services while supporting staff, monitoring program quality, and connecting older adults with essential benefits, resources, and services. This is an in-person position based at two Older Adult Centers in Queens, with the Supervisor rotating between locations based on program and operational needs.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Counseling, Gerontology, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience providing social work, case management, information and referral, or related services.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to learn and utilize program-specific systems, currently Vive.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
  • Experience working with older adults or in a community-based social services setting is a plus.
  • Spanish, Chinese dialects, or Russian language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision and clinical guidance to Case Managers.
  • Facilitate monthly staff meetings in collaboration with the Associate Director.
  • Review and approve case notes and Information & Assistance logs to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Identify staff training needs and ensure participation in professional development and funder-required trainings.
  • Provide guidance on complex cases and escalate high-risk or emergency situations to the Associate Director.
  • Maintain an active caseload and provide in-person case assistance at Older Adult Centers as needed.
  • Support access to essential benefits and services, including Medicare, Medicaid, and home-based services.
  • Lead outreach and community education efforts to increase awareness of JASA’s Information & Assistance services.
  • Ensure appropriate program coverage during staff vacancies or extended leaves of absence.
  • Support Case Managers in connecting participants with appropriate community resources and services.
  • Monitor program data and performance using electronic client record systems, currently Vive.
  • Support Program Directors with the preparation and submission of reports to city and private funders.
  • Ensure documentation and services meet program, contractual, and funder requirements.
  • Perform additional administrative and clinical duties to support overall center operations.
  • Participate in "Cooling Center Hours," "Make-Up Days," and other emergency responses required by City funders.
  • Be available for extended weekday hours or weekend coverage when required.
