About The Position

The Charles Evans Center (CEC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center, providing comprehensive medical, dental and mental health services. The center specializes in meeting the needs of adults and children with developmental disabilities. Our team-based approach puts patients at the center of their care. Using the highest standard of medical care; we give the patients the tools they need to achieve their best health. We have great opportunities for positive, motivated individuals to work in an OMH and OASAS outpatient clinic setting.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling
• Current NYS License in LMSW/LCSW or LMHC
• Strong clinical experience, required

Responsibilities

• Conduct all aspects of psychotherapy with individuals, families, couples or groups according to caseload assigned.
• Attend supervisory sessions as scheduled and demonstrate motivation for learning and willingness to take direction.
• Attend weekly social work meetings arriving promptly, participating actively in the process and assuming responsibility for rotating presentations.
• Attend annual agency training for Quality Assurance including fire safety, mandated reporting of abuse and universal precautions.
• Initiate and maintain contact with other agency departments regarding your patients as necessary and appropriate in the service of quality treatment.
