About The Position

Senior Life Solutions is an intensive outpatient therapy program designed to meet the needs of individuals, typically ages 65 and older, experiencing depression and/or anxiety related to life changes often associated with aging. The Mental Health Therapist or Social Worker provides services to older adults at the Estherville, Iowa location, working onsite with a small multidisciplinary team that includes a psychiatric physician, an RN Director, and a medical office coordinator.

The role primarily focuses on group therapy and also includes individual sessions, family therapy as needed, and local community education. The therapist uses evidence-based approaches, collaborates with the team to create and update personalized treatment plans, and completes documentation that complies with Medicare guidelines within required timeframes. Clinical resources and peer-to-peer training and support are available.

Requirements

• Hold a state-recognized license in Social Work or Counseling; examples include LISW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, and LMSW.
• Work with kindness and accountability to enhance patients’ quality of life.
• Successfully complete a full background check; this may include drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a small multidisciplinary team to provide services to the senior population.
• Use evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Develop, personalize, and update treatment plans with the team.
• Provide compliant documentation according to Medicare guidelines within designated timeframes.
• Provide group therapy, the program’s primary focus.
• Provide individual sessions.
• Provide family therapy as needed.
• Assist with local community education.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
