About The Position

Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work.
- Three years post-master's direct clinical social work experience.
- Well-developed critical thinking skills.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of medical terminology.
- Ability to communicate effectively with medical professionals of all disciplines.
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Multi-tasking and task management essential.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Training and experience must be in the scope of practice of the clinical specialty area of children, adolescent and/or adult patients, as well as family intervention.
- Proven mastery of advanced sociological, psychological, and mental health care related interventions and issues.
- NYS LMSW license.
- Must maintain a collaborative agreement with a licensed physician in the field of practice of the Psychiatry with an active license in the State of New York.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical social work services to patients and families within the scope of practice for children, adolescents, and/or adult patients.
- Utilize advanced sociological, psychological, and mental health care interventions and address related issues.
- Work autonomously, set priorities, and make independent decisions of a complex nature.
- Communicate effectively with medical professionals of all disciplines.
