About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a part-time Social Worker, LMSW. This role involves providing psychosocial assessments and brief targeted interventions for social, emotional, and environmental issues that affect a client/family's ability to benefit from care. The Social Worker will collaborate with the team to achieve patient care management and system improvement goals, represent the Social Work department on committees, and provide leadership for department committees/workgroups. The position contributes to the plan of care by identifying patient psychosocial needs and understanding population-specific needs. This is a part-time, non-exempt term position expected to last six months to one year.

LIC-Licensed Master Social Worker - Tennessee
Relevant Work Experience
Master's degree
Less than 1 year of experience

Responsibilities

Maintains professional documentation which meets department and VUMC standards as it relates to compliance.
Provides brief targeted interventions for identified clients.
Completes psychosocial assessment and assists team with the development of the plan of care.
Provides education and or consultation to clients and families, treatment team and community.
Contributes to the organization by actively participating in process improvement initiatives and shared decision making.
