About The Position
Social Work Services at the Mount Sinai Hospital is a comprehensive department within a 1,134-bed facility that offers extensive outpatient and specialty care. We believe in total patient care that emphasizes physical, emotional, and social needs. Social Workers collaborate within interprofessional teams to serve patients and the community through direct care and prevention. The Department of Social Work Services, founded in 1907, is one of the oldest in the nation with over 450 licensed social workers across more than 65 program/service areas. Employment offers a pathway to LCSW licensure, continuing education, professional development, and extra-curricular opportunities. The Student and Trainee Mental Health (STMH) Service provides clinical services to Mount Sinai students and trainees, working as part of a multidisciplinary team including Psychiatrists, Psychologists, and Social Workers.
Requirements
- LCSW licensure (or pathway to LCSW licensure)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate within interprofessional teams to serve patients and the larger community from both a micro and macro level including both direct care and prevention.
- Provide clinical services to the diverse population of Mount Sinai students and trainees.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team at STMH that includes Psychiatrists, Psychologists, and Social Workers.
