Social Worker- Child Protection Case Management

About The Position

Goodhue County Health & Human Services is seeking qualified applicants for Child Protection Case Management Social Worker. The position available within our team provides support to families through Child Welfare Services. Specific duties for these positions may vary depending on the needs of the unit, so we are seeking candidates who are willing to be flexible and learn a variety of programs. Additional duties within Child Protection Case Management may also be assigned as needed. You will be a part of a group of skilled, caring and knowledgeable HHS professionals whose talents and contributions promote, strengthen and protect the health of individuals, families and communities in Goodhue County every single day!

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in social work or related human services field and two (2) years of full-time work experience preferred as a Social Worker in a public human services agency and/or a private community services agency that contracts services with a public human services agency.
A valid Minnesota driver’s license.
Required Social Work experience must have occurred after receipt of Bachelor's Degree.

Nice To Haves

A Master’s Degree in social work or related field may substitute for up to one year of required Social Worker experience.

Responsibilities

Collects information to determine eligibility for services and/ or process applications for licensure.
Collaborates with community organizations as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure services to support families in the community and ensure safety.
Provides written court reports and court testimony as needed.
Submits recommendations to the state.
Supervises children in foster home placements.
Provides support for licensed providers.
Completes thorough and timely documentation that meets state and agency standards and complies with all data practices requirements.
