Family Service Association has an exciting opportunity for an unpaid internship for a BSW student in our After School Daycare (ASDC) department. The potential intern must have a strong sense of discretion, detailed oriented and well organized. This internship requires a minimum commitment of 3 hours per week for 13 weeks with a semi flexible schedule Monday -Friday. The Social Work Intern supports the Social Worker in promoting the social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of children enrolled in Kids Academy and After School Day Care programs. Under direct supervision, the intern gains practical experience in early childhood and school-age programming through observation, family engagement, resource development, behavior support, and collaboration with staff. This internship is designed to provide meaningful learning experiences while supporting the mission of Family Service Association. All activities are completed under the supervision of the program Social Worker and the Director of Children’s Development Services, as well as within the student's university requirements.
