About The Position

Arizona's Family is seeking a Social Video Producer to grow its content and talent through creative, platform-native video. This digital-first role turns long-form streaming shows and podcast episodes into short-form social content, builds loyal audiences, drives subscriptions, and supports the growth of the station's streaming and podcast portfolio. The producer creates original videos, develops platform-specific strategies, manages publishing calendars, engages communities, analyzes performance, and works with talent and field crews. The position offers an opportunity to shape Arizona's Family's streaming and podcast presence, experiment creatively, and contribute to an expanding digital operation.

Requirements

  • 2–4+ years of experience in social media video production, digital content creation, or a related field.
  • Expertise in short-form video, including Reels, TikToks, and Shorts, and the ability to capture attention quickly and sustain viewership.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar video-editing tools.
  • Ability to adapt and reimagine content for each platform's culture, format, and audience behavior.
  • Understanding of podcasts and streaming content, audience expectations, and factors that encourage subscriptions and repeat listening or viewing.
  • Strong copywriting skills for captions, calls to action, and on-screen text.
  • Focus on audience growth, retention, and conversion, rather than vanity metrics alone.
  • Self-starter who develops ideas, pitches concepts, and takes ownership of the content pipeline.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with hosts, talent, and cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience growing a podcast, streaming show, YouTube channel, or creator brand.
  • Motion graphics experience, including After Effects.
  • Experience with audiogram tools such as Headliner or Descript.
  • Experience with podcast distribution platforms such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or iHeart.
  • Experience with streaming platform management, including Roku, Amazon Fire, or YouTube TV.
  • College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review streaming shows and podcast episodes, identify compelling moments, and create short-form clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and X.
  • Concept, shoot, and edit original social videos, including teasers, trailers, behind-the-scenes content, host spotlights, audiograms, and promotional clips.
  • Develop and execute platform-specific strategies to grow streaming and podcast audiences, subscriptions, listeners, and viewers.
  • Identify hooks, soundbites, and episode moments and package them into compelling short-form content.
  • Plan, schedule, and publish content across platforms, building anticipation before releases and sustaining momentum afterward.
  • Tailor videos to each platform, including aspect ratios, captions, hashtags, trending audio, and platform algorithms.
  • Encourage engagement around shows and podcasts by responding to comments, collaborating with hosts on their channels, and identifying trending conversation opportunities.
  • Monitor views, watch time, follower growth, click-throughs, and conversion rates, and use performance data to refine content strategy.
  • Work with field crews, hosts, talent, and cross-functional teams, coaching them to create authentic and engaging content that amplifies Arizona's Family.
  • Monitor creator-space trends, formats, platforms, and viral content, and test and adapt relevant ideas.
  • Generate and pitch ideas and take ownership of the content pipeline.

Benefits

  • Creative freedom to experiment and bring forward ideas.
  • Opportunity to see the impact of work through audience growth and engagement.
  • Collaboration with experienced journalists, hosts, and a digital team.
  • Room for career growth as Gray Media invests in streaming and digital.
