About The Position
Prevail Academy, located in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, serves students in grades K–8. The Social Studies Teacher will teach students in grades 6–8, create an engaging classroom environment, use provided curriculum and resources to support student learning, and collaborate with teachers and support staff to meet students’ goals and individual needs. The role also includes participating in professional development and orientation activities and analyzing student data to inform instruction. Additional duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Hold a valid teacher license or meet alternative requirements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate professionally with fellow teachers and support staff to meet the goals and individual needs of each student.
- Create, manage, and participate in professional development and orientation activities.
- Create a classroom environment that is engaging and conducive to learning.
- Implement available curriculum and resources based on students’ needs.
- Analyze and use student data to inform teaching.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
