About The Position
EDU-AIDS is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 5th Grade Social Studies Teacher to support elementary school students in Philadelphia, PA for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full-time opportunity in a collaborative elementary school environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Studies, History, or a related field.
- Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate.
- Strong Social Studies knowledge and instructional skills.
- Classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to support diverse learners and student success.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
- Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, projects, and tests.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Maintain a positive and organized classroom environment.
- Communicate with parents and collaborate with school staff.
- Support students in developing critical-thinking, research, and problem-solving skills.
