Requirements

Bachelor's degree
Teachers will need to obtain Pennsylvania certification, and the school will support staff in completing the required coursework and process.

Nice To Haves

Content area teaching certificate is preferred but not required at the time of hire
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in a school setting is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Designing and delivering student-centered learning in Social Studies.
Provide direct instruction to students to help them learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their social, emotional, and academic development.
Encourage students to ask questions, explore ideas, and stay engaged even when learning is challenging.
Plan and teach Social Studies courses.
Build motivation and interest in learning.
Prepare effectively for class and provide documentation of students’ progress.
Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to use research-based practices.
Develop an environment that supports student learning.
