About The Position

This position is a 1.0 FTE located at the Grace Hopper Center (Pathways Program) for SY27. The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering the social studies curriculum, incorporating differentiated instruction, and utilizing various instructional strategies including technology. Collaboration with other teachers, communication with students, parents, and staff, and participation in professional development are key aspects of this role. The position is with Arlington Public Schools, an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Requirements

Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
Social Studies endorsement.
Experience working with high school students.
Ability to interact collaboratively with students, school staff and parents.
Proficiency with technology and an understanding of instructional applications of technology.
Ability and experience with a diverse population of students.
Ability to be flexible, dependable and highly organized.
Strong interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
