About The Position

This position is a 1.0 FTE located at the Grace Hopper Center (Pathways Program) for SY27. The role involves implementing instructional programs, maintaining a safe and orderly environment, communicating with parents, maintaining student records, collaborating with various stakeholders, monitoring student achievement, and attending professional learning and meetings. Salary will be based on the FY2026-27 salary schedule.

Requirements

• Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
• Mathematics endorsement.
• Teaching experience in the above mentioned area.
• Knowledge of best instructional practices.
• Ability to integrate technology.
• Experience in educational and instructional leadership.

Nice To Haves

• Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implements instructional programs that meet the needs, interests and abilities of students using appropriate instructional materials
• Maintains safe and orderly environment
• Communicates with parents/guardians
• Maintains complete and accurate student records
• Collaborates with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members
• Monitors and assesses student achievement
• Attends ongoing professional learning and meetings.
