About The Position

Glenlyon Norfolk School (GNS) is seeking an exceptional educator to join their learning community as a Social Studies (I&S) Teacher for the Middle and Senior School. This is a permanent, full-time position starting in August 2026. GNS is an independent JK to Grade 12 International Baccalaureate and Round Square day and boarding school committed to providing an exceptional educational experience that emphasizes robust academics, healthy social and emotional development, and inquiry-based, student-centered learning. The role involves supporting the delivery of International Baccalaureate (IB) units that incorporate the BC curriculum, contributing to co-curricular programs, and providing a high level of pastoral care. Requirements

  • Hold a valid BC teaching certificate.
  • Experience teaching Social Studies (Individuals & Societies) at the middle and/or senior school level.
  • Demonstrate a strong foundation in inquiry-based and project-based learning.
