About The Position

This position is for a Social Studies Teacher at Swanson, with responsibilities for planning and delivering the social studies curriculum. Requirements

• Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
• Social Studies endorsement.
• Experience working with high school students.
• Ability to interact collaboratively with students, school staff and parents.
• Proficiency with technology and an understanding of instructional applications of technology.
• Ability and experience with a diverse population of students.
• Ability to be flexible, dependable and highly organized.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
