A diverse range of programs and services are accessible through local offices across Alberta to anyone who needs help. Our Family Resource Network located in Stettler is seeking a: Part-Time Permanent Referral and Navigation Worker. The FRN (Family Resource Network) is funded through the Childcare and Early Intervention Delivery Branch of The Ministry of Children and Family Services and has been created to provide Alberta families, with children aged 0-18 and youth up to age 24 with evidence based and informed services. The services offered by the FRN will include child development, well-being support, caregiver capacity building support, and social connections and support.

Requirements

  • At minimum a post secondary diploma related to human services from an approved institution
  • Required 1-year of frontline human services work or community navigation work
  • Proof of Membership in Professional Association (when applicable)
  • Experience in community connection and system navigation
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Basic First Aid Level C with Adult, Child, and infant CPR &AED
  • Suicide Intervention Training & De-Escalation Training
  • Intervention Record & Criminal Record Check with the vulnerable sector
  • Class 5 driver’s license, clean drivers abstract and reliable vehicle for occasional client transportation required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough intake, screening, and assessment duties
  • Proactively support children, youth, and families in accessing appropriate resources across community networks
  • Monitor and document client progress and maintain accurate case notes
  • Collaborate with community partners through regular attendance at interagency and other community meetings
  • Oversee website administration and social media communications
  • Promote visibility, accessibility, and responsiveness in rural and remote communities
