About The Position

This Social Services Program Coordinator position, within the Division of Behavioral Health (DBH) Director's Office, Policy, Legislative, Regulations, Communication, and Planning Section, is fully responsible for coordinating and managing multiple smaller programs, which include coordinating strategic planning, policy, procedure development, communications, legislative and regulatory activities. Under the supervision and direction of the Social Services Program Officer (SSPO), you will act as a secondary point of contact for regulatory work and will provide the lead regulatory division staff with relief by taking one regulation package at a time or by assisting on specific tasks in a joint effort to ensure timely and consistent processing from start to finish on select regulation projects. In this postion you will also assist the Social Services Program Officer in conducting bill analyses and assessing legislative impact (e.g. draft bills, passed legislation, fiscal impacts) on division practices, as needed. This position supports internal and external communications to ensure effective program implementation and operational continuity.

Requirements

  • Competency in Social Services: Knowledge of the concepts, principles, theories, practices, and current trends in social services used in the planning, design, implementation, and/or evaluation of programs that provide a broad range of social supports to individuals, families, and communities.
  • Any combination of preparatory post-secondary education and/or professional-level experience providing, developing, administering, or managing social/health services or social/health service programs.
