About The Position

The Economic Mobility Division focuses on connecting residents to the resources, education, and employment opportunities needed to achieve long-term stability and self-sufficiency. Through coordinated programs and partnerships, the division works to remove barriers and create clear pathways to economic advancement. Our approach is centered on outcomes, ensuring that residents are supported in making measurable progress. The Economic Mobility Division consists of MeckSuccess, MeckWorks, More Than A Job NC, Work First Employment Services, Work First Kinship Services and Quality and Training. The MTAJNC Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, administration, and daily operations of the MTAJNC program. This role ensures program activities run efficiently, align with organizational standards, and meet participation, quality, and compliance goals. The coordinator serves as a central point of contact across internal teams, external partners, and program participants, ensuring consistent communication and timely execution of program milestones. The position oversees scheduling, documentation, reporting, and logistical coordination, and provides guidance to participants and responds to operational needs as they arise. The Program Coordinator monitors program data for accuracy, prepares regular status updates, and assists leadership with evaluating program effectiveness and implementing improvements. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of social services or human services experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Combination of relevant education and relevant experience accepted?: Yes
  • Requires a valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver's License
  • Requires County Driving Privileges
  • Knowledge of: Customer service principles, Social Services procedures, practices and methods, Case management methods and techniques, Applicable Federal, State, and local laws, rules, and regulations
  • Skills: Possessing strong communication skills, Managing multiple tasks concurrently

  • Proficient in various computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise program activities and assist in the development of program
  • Conduct staff meetings with personnel to discuss plans, programs, and issues; work closely with other supervisors and managers
  • Review and audit staff cases and workloads to prioritize duties and referrals for new cases
  • Participates in staff conferences regarding programs.
  • Investigate and take action on requests, suggestions or complaints concerning services in the assigned area
  • Monitor current programs and assist with the development of new programs
  • Complete monthly and quarterly program reports
  • Participate in staff conferences, workshops and other learning regarding assigned programs
  • Provide leadership to staff members
  • May be required to staff shelters in the event of disaster
  • Respond in cases of urgent and/or emergent events that require public health interventions. Employees may be trained for and assigned duties unrelated to their regular work; work outside normal business hours and workdays and/or in a different work location may be required. Emergency events include, but are not limited to, communicable disease outbreaks, severe weather situations (e.g. snow or ice storms, tornados, hurricanes), natural disasters (e.g. earthquakes), fire, or power outages, and acts of terrorism.
