About The Position

Tutera Senior Living & Health Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate Social Services Assistants to join their team at Saint Paul's Senior Living Community. This role involves assisting the Social Service Coordinator and Social Workers in providing medically related social services to residents. The goal is to help each resident achieve and maintain the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being, while fostering an environment that maximizes their individuality, independence, and dignity.

Requirements

A fire and passion for working with seniors
A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
Minimum of one year of experience of supervised social service experience in a health care setting working primarily with the geriatric population required
Professional image in both appearance and behavior
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Nice To Haves

Social Service Certificate, or 36-Hour Social Service Designee Certificate, preferred
Minimum of two years of prior experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting preferred

Responsibilities

Assisting the Social Service Coordinator and Social Workers in providing medically related social services.
Ensuring residents attain or maintain the highest practicable level of physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
Promoting a climate, policies, and routines that enable residents to maximize their individuality, independence, and dignity.
