About The Position

The Social Services Assistant provides medically related social services to attain or maintain the highest physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of our residents under the supervision of the Social Services Director.

Requirements

High School Diploma (Social Services Designee Certificate preferred)
Associate or bachelor’s degree in social work or human services field preferred.
Strong passion for geriatric advocacy and commitment to senior care excellence.
Previous social services experience preferred.
CNA certification preferred.
Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values (Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, Excellence) to residents, family members, customers, and staff.

Responsibilities

Provides medically related social services to attain or maintain the highest physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of residents.
Works under the supervision of the Social Services Director.
Engages residents and families empathetically.
Communicates effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Resolves conflicts and mediates disputes.
Creates a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.
Collaborates with and promotes collaboration among departments, professionals, consultants, and organizations, including government regulatory agencies.
Works towards the common goal of excellent care for residents.
