About The Position

Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO), an affiliate of Public Consulting Group LLC (PCG), is seeking a Social Services Administrative Coordinator to support the Office of MaineCare Services' Complex Case Unit (CCU) in Augusta, Maine. The CCU works collaboratively to provide Maine residents with timely, person-centered solutions to complex healthcare, financial, and placement-related needs. In this role, you will provide critical administrative and technical support to a multidisciplinary team dedicated to helping individuals access services and resources that improve their quality of life. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in healthcare administration, social services, Medicaid/MaineCare programs, care coordination, or complex administrative support.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Four (4) years of combined education and/or experience in: Administrative support, Healthcare administration, Medical eligibility programs, Care management, Behavioral health, Human services, Related fields
  • Strong organizational, research, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong typing skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while working effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel (sorting, filtering, and basic formulas)
  • Microsoft Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with MaineCare, Medicaid, healthcare programs, or care coordination.
  • Experience working within government, healthcare, or social service environments.
  • Familiarity with healthcare terminology, disability services, and community-based resources.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and technical support to the Complex Case Unit.
  • Attend meetings, capture detailed meeting minutes, and track action items.
  • Coordinate correspondence and communicate with internal and external stakeholders by phone and email.
  • Research and verify member information using MaineCare eligibility and claims systems.
  • Document findings and support timely resolution of inquiries and case-related issues.
  • Develop and improve administrative processes and procedures to enhance team efficiency.
  • Research complex and sensitive issues and prepare reports, spreadsheets, and tracking tools.
  • Respond professionally to inquiries while maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound judgment.
  • Gather information about healthcare providers, community resources, and service availability to support care coordination efforts.
  • Collaborate with team members and external partners to support positive outcomes for MaineCare members.
