This position supports all Social Service activities, providing services, programs, and events that promote The Salvation Army. The role involves maintaining and implementing TSA Family Social Services case management, conducting need assessments, and offering information and referrals to other agencies. The Social Service Worker is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Family Services Department, recruiting volunteers, and assisting Corps Offices with public awareness of services, programs, and ministries. This role also includes completing all Social Services-related paperwork, maintaining records and documents accurately in the database, and assisting with various programs such as the Food by Choice Pantry, Warehouse, Hope Center, and kitchen operations as directed. The position requires responding to phone calls regarding Social Services, screening clients, assuring safety protocols, upholding Protecting the Mission guidelines, and adhering to all Salvation Army policies. Additionally, the role involves assisting with the Christmas Social Service Program, Toy Drives, and toy distribution, as well as coordinating seasonal assistance with other departments, agencies, volunteers, and corporations. During the Holiday season (November through December), hours will increase to full-time.
