About The Position

The Social Service Director plays a pivotal leadership role in overseeing and managing social service programs within an organization, ensuring that services meet the needs of the community effectively and compassionately. This position is responsible for strategic planning, program development, and the coordination of resources to enhance service delivery and client outcomes. The director will lead a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration and professional growth while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in social services, including three years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of social service programs, community resources, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and oversee program development.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills daily to guide and motivate their team, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Analytical and strategic planning skills are essential for developing effective programs and managing resources efficiently.
• Communication skills are critical for engaging with staff, clients, community partners, and policymakers to advocate for social services and foster collaboration.
• Problem-solving abilities help address challenges that arise in program implementation and client support.
• Proficiency in budgeting and compliance ensures that programs operate within financial and legal frameworks, maintaining organizational integrity and sustainability.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), Public Administration (MPA), or a related discipline.
• Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent certification.
• Experience working with diverse populations and in multidisciplinary team environments.
• Familiarity with grant writing and fundraising strategies.
• Demonstrated success in community outreach and advocacy initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate social service programs to address community needs and organizational goals.
