About The Position

The Salvation Army in Hanford operates a Social Service Office which assists people in need with Emergency Food Boxes, utility assistance, and other needs. The Social Services Aide will primarily help with our food pantry, preparing and providing boxes of food to clients. They may assist with data entry or other office work if needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 15 years of age.
• Experience working with the public
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work with the public.
• High level of integrity and reliability.
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Help sort and prepare boxes of non-perishable food.
• Help add produce or other perishable items to boxes as directed.
• Help with cleanup (clear tables, sweep, mop, etc.) as needed.
• Help bring carts of food to client vehicles and double check paperwork as directed by Caseworker.
• Other related duties as required
