About The Position
This recruitment is for Social Service Aid III (DL), SR-09, located in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. The salary rate is effective July 1, 2026. These positions require a current and valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle. The Social Service Aid III independently provides all supportive services for a unit or team, participates in team activities, and performs limited field work. This includes checking with clients, encouraging them to use available resources, following up on cases periodically, and relaying information, problems, and observations to professional staff. Other related duties are assigned as needed.
Requirements
- Graduation from high school
- Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in providing supportive services to social workers, vocational rehabilitation specialists, public housing managers, or other professional workers in such programs as public welfare, family court, vocational rehabilitation, and public housing; e.g., performing clerical tasks in processing various documents, transporting clients and materials to and from various destinations, explaining to clients or tenants the services available, assisting in overseeing group activities such as bowling and swimming.
- A current and valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle.
