About The Position
The instructor teaches one or more sociology courses as scheduled. The role also provides student advising and support, participates in outreach and attendance initiatives, and completes professional development.
Requirements
- A master's degree in sociology or a related discipline, with at least 15–18 postgraduate credit hours completed in the subject area being taught.
- At least 3 years of experience in the field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with instructional technologies, or the ability to quickly adapt to and learn technology such as Canvas and CampusVue.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Be a team player who demonstrates initiative, dependability, and reliability.
Nice To Haves
- Prior postsecondary education teaching experience is preferred but not required.
