A Social Program Administrator II plans and coordinates the activities of a social program. Work of this class may involve supervising social program personnel. Incumbents receive moderate supervision from a technical superior. Employees in this class work a conventional workweek. Work is performed in an office where working conditions are normal. Work requires minimal physical exertion.

Requirements

Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Have three years of experience in social planning, social work, social program supervision or coordination or a related field.
Have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of the basic techniques of social program administration.
Knowledge of community social problems.
Knowledge of counseling techniques.
Knowledge of basic Federal grant procedures.
Ability to speak and write effectively.
Ability to deal with program recipients, community groups and representatives of public and private agencies.
Administrative ability.
