About The Position

Funko is looking for a creative, culturally aware, and highly analytical Social Media Specialist to help grow and optimize our online presence across key social platforms. This role will balance community engagement with a strong emphasis on social media reporting, performance analysis, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate is passionate about Pop Culture and social media, with the ability to translate platform data, audience behavior, and campaign performance into actionable insights. They are equally comfortable engaging with fans and building reports, tracking KPIs, and identifying opportunities to improve content and channel performance. The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our audience through thoughtful community management. They will actively engage with followers, respond to conversations, and help foster a welcoming, positive community environment that strengthens brand loyalty and advocacy. In addition, this role will leverage social listening to monitor brand sentiment, track emerging trends, and identify cultural moments or conversations relevant to the brand. Insights gathered from social listening and community engagement will help inform content strategies, social initiatives, and broader brand considerations.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience managing or supporting brand social media accounts, with a strong focus on analytics and reporting
  • Demonstrated experience building and delivering social media performance reports
  • Strong understanding of social KPIs, metrics, and platform analytics tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Sprout, native insights)
  • Ability to interpret data and translate it into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Experience with social listening and sentiment analysis tools
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to adapt to a defined brand voice
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with content performance optimization and A/B testing approaches
  • Passion for social media, online communities, and emerging digital trends

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and engage across social channels, responding to comments, direct messages, and mentions in a timely manner
  • Track, analyze, and report on social media performance across platforms, including engagement, reach, growth, and conversion metrics
  • Develop regular reporting cadence (weekly, monthly, campaign-level) with clear insights and recommendations
  • Translate data into actionable insights to optimize content strategy, posting cadence, and platform approach
  • Monitor social listening tools to track brand sentiment, audience behavior, and emerging trends
  • Identify performance trends and anomalies, and proactively recommend optimizations
  • Partner with marketing and creative teams to evaluate campaign effectiveness and inform future initiatives
  • Track competitor performance and benchmark against industry standards
  • Support the execution of the social media content calendar with a focus on performance-driven improvements
  • Identify and engage with brand advocates, creators, and fans
  • Escalate customer service inquiries, brand risks, or sensitive conversations to appropriate internal teams
