About The Position

We’re looking for a confident, high-energy, and fashion-forward Live Host to join our talent pool & represent Gilt. In this role, you’ll host dynamic live selling streams right from our studio in Boston’s Seaport District. You’ll style products, engage with a live audience in real-time, and convert viewers into loyal shoppers through entertaining, authentic live commerce.

Requirements

Fashion-Obsessed: A strong passion for trends, styling, and talking about apparel naturally.
Camera-Confident Personality: Outgoing, charismatic, and comfortable being live on camera for multi-hour sessions.
Live Social Media Hosting Experience: Prior experience in live commerce (TikTok Shop, TalkShopLive, Whatnot, Instagram Live, etc.) is strongly preferred.
Quick Problem Solver: Ability to improvise and quick to pivot while conducting live chat commentary and keep engagement on the stream moving at a productive pace.
Schedule Flexibility: Required to support a dynamic, testing-based production calendar
Core Days: Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays (with occasional Saturdays).
Production Windows: Must be available for both day and evening testing blocks: Mid-Day Block: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM EST, Evening Block: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM EST
Operating live-streaming setups (ring lights, mics, cameras, teleprompters) and troubleshooting basic AV issues
Working familiarity with the Social Media Live platforms—pinning products, running promos, managing the live cart, and reading real-time engagement
Ability to interpret live metrics (viewer count, GMV, conversion, engagement) and adjust delivery accordingly
Advanced understanding of social media content trends and short-form video best practices
Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Prior experience in retail, sales, or product demonstration a plus

Responsibilities

Host Live Streams: Lead interactive Social Site Live session showcasing our fashion collections.
Drive Engagement & Sales: Present clothing & accessories while discussing fit, fabric, and styling tips, and answer viewer questions in real-time from viewers to build rapport and boost conversions.
Bring the Energy: Maintain high enthusiasm, charm, and professionalism throughout extended live broadcasts & social teasers
Collaborate & Strategy: Work closely with our production and marketing team to plan live promotional hooks, flash sales, and content flow.
