About The Position

Study.com is seeking scriptwriters to create short scripts for YouTube videos. The ideal candidate will be adept at writing natural-sounding scripts that are factually accurate and include notes for video editing, such as call-outs and other visual elements. This is an online, remote contract position where payment is made per piece.

Requirements

Ability to gather information on various topics and incorporate it into scripts.
Excellent communication skills; collaborative and responsive.
Strong online research skills.
Proficient English language skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
Experience with table formatting to organize voiceover scripts with corresponding visual elements.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with best practices for YouTube video scripts.
Experience writing for different video formats, including educational content, tutorials, and test prep videos.
Experience with Smartsheet as a collaborator.

Responsibilities

Produce engaging and informative scripts using a provided template for videos.
Plan and script videos that align with educational objectives and SEO best practices.
Select video topics independently from a given list.
