About The Position

The University of Florida is looking for a Social Media Producer to lead and elevate social media engagement for the Division of Enrollment Management. In this role, you will develop and execute social media strategies, create compelling content, manage daily operations of social channels, analyze performance metrics, and engage with prospective students and key audiences across multiple platforms.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

  • One to two years of professional experience in social media marketing, digital communications, or strategic audience engagement.
  • Experience with social media content curation, management, and scheduling platforms.

  • Experience managing or coordinating content creators, student ambassadors, or other contributors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement social media strategies that align with University of Florida brand standards, accessibility requirements, and communication goals while supporting Enrollment Management recruitment, enrollment, and retention objectives.
  • Serve as the primary administrator and content creator for Enrollment Management social media channels, including UF Admissions accounts, by creating and publishing engaging content such as graphics, photography, and short-form video across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate with UF Admissions student ambassadors to develop authentic, student-centered content and maintain a comprehensive social media content calendar featuring events, campaigns, student stories, and informational content.
  • Engage with audiences by responding to comments, direct messages, and other interactions while fostering meaningful online engagement.
  • Conduct social listening and monitor social media activity to identify audience trends, emerging topics, and potential reputational concerns that inform communication planning and content strategy.
  • Optimize social media performance using analytics, audience insights, and platform best practices.
  • Manage emergency communications on social media channels, including posting alerts, press releases, and other time-sensitive updates as directed, and escalate concerns as appropriate.
  • Identify and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media channels.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret monthly social media performance data, including engagement, reach, audience growth, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Prepare analytical reports and performance summaries for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Recommend improvements and optimization strategies based on performance metrics, audience behavior, and emerging trends.
  • Coordinate with University Strategic Communications and Marketing and other campus partners to ensure consistent messaging and alignment of communication efforts.
  • Work closely with graphic designers, copywriters, web developers, and marketing specialists to integrate social media into broader marketing initiatives.
  • Support integrated marketing and communication campaigns across the Division of Enrollment Management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
