About The Position

Magic Spoon is a rapidly growing DTC brand that reimagines childhood breakfast cereals into high-protein options. The company has received significant recognition, including being called "the future of cereal" by Forbes and named one of TIME Magazine's Top 100 inventions. Magic Spoon has also expanded into nationwide retail presence in major chains like Target and Walmart. The company is seeking an experienced content creator and social media expert with a strong background in growing brands on TikTok and Instagram. The ideal candidate will be deeply aware of social media trends and capable of creating engaging content centered around the brand. This role will report to the Head of Brand Management and is a full-time, in-person/hybrid position based in Tribeca, NYC, requiring office presence on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience with a proven track record of growing a food brand’s presence and engagement on Instagram and TikTok
  • Must be comfortable with UGC including filming, editing and being on camera
  • Demonstrated experience working with video editing platforms such as CapCut, InShot, Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Up to date with social media trends and what’s working and trending on TikTok and Instagram
  • Experience in social media metrics and monitoring tools (I.e. Sprout Social)
  • Proven ability to be a creative and innovative thinker including excellence in concepting & copywriting
  • A love of all things fitness, healthy eating, and knowledge about key creators and brands in the better for you space
  • Possession of identification proving authorization to work in the United States (company does not offer Work Visa sponsorship)

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable in front of the camera as needed (most work likely won’t require face on camera)- eg street interviewing, in office content, etc

Responsibilities

  • Own the company’s organic content strategy that aligns with business goals and brand growth across channels with a focus on TikTok & Instagram, including recommending content pillars and cadence
  • Accelerate the reach and engagement on Instagram and TikTok
  • Lead the execution of monthly content calendar including content brainstorming, editing, caption writing and post scheduling
  • Ideate brand collabs based on pillars and key moments
  • Build out a monthly reporting structure to share out key learnings with internal stakeholders and incorporate learnings into strategy going forward
  • Concept, shoot and edit social content, including short form videos and copy, that delivers against strategy and brand tone/guardrails, while being engaging on their respective social platforms
  • Execute brand collabs and giveaways
  • Partner with internal creative team to execute assets for use across social
  • Partner with sales team to create retail focused content
  • Assist with ad hoc copywriting needs across key channels including paid social, email and web
  • Partner with CX lead to infuse brand tone of voice in guidelines
  • Engage with brand content comments and DMs in a way that is on brand, positive, and timely
  • Maintain a pulse on trends, pop culture, current events, competitors and social media best practices, identifying key opportunities for Magic Spoon participation in conversation naturally
  • Source, brief, and manage select external creators to product content
  • Partner with TOF lead to identify influencer collabs
