About The Position

The New Jersey Infrastructure Bank (I-Bank) is seeking a curious, creative student to join its Marketing and Social Media Internship Program. This is a structured, hands-on experience where you will learn how a New Jersey public-sector organization communicates complex financing programs and community impact in clear, engaging ways. Over 10 weeks, you will research audiences, develop content, publish approved posts, review performance data, and present a completed campaign to senior management. You will develop and execute a mini social media campaign aligned with I-Bank priorities, including setting goals, defining audiences, creating content across at least two platforms, publishing posts, evaluating results, and presenting your findings and recommendations to senior management.

Requirements

  • A current college student with an interest in communications, marketing, social media, public relations, graphic design, public administration, or a related field
  • Strong writing, editing, organization, and presentation skills
  • Sound judgment, professionalism, attention to detail, and openness to feedback
  • Interest in learning about government, infrastructure, public finance, and community impact
  • Comfort using, or willingness to learn, social media publishing, design, and analytics tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines in a structured approval environment

Responsibilities

  • Meet with I-Bank staff to learn about financing programs, priorities, audiences, brand standards, and public-sector requirements.
  • Research target audiences and content opportunities, then help maintain a practical content plan.
  • Draft and design platform-specific posts and graphics using tools such as Canva and Social Assurance.
  • Submit content for review, incorporate feedback, and schedule or publish approved posts.
  • Monitor campaign activity, maintain an engagement log, and prepare brief weekly performance summaries.
  • Review reach, engagement, and follower data and turn findings into recommendations for future outreach.
  • Develop and execute a mini social media campaign aligned with I-Bank priorities.
