About The Position

This is an opportunity within the Infoblox Internship Program for a Social Media Marketing Intern to join the Corporate Marketing team in the US, supporting the Social Media Lead. In this internship, you will gain hands-on experience contributing to various aspects of our social media strategy and day-to-day management, while gaining exposure to various aspects of enterprise marketing and other functions across the organization. The ideal candidate is passionate about the intersection of social media and technology, excited about working on a fast-paced team, comfortable with navigating ambiguity, and a strong communicator.

Requirements

  • A passion for social media, understanding what drives interest, interaction and motivation to engage
  • An interest in technology, especially fundamental enterprise tech that fuels fast-paced business
  • Experience with the BrandWatch social media management platform and/or Canva design studio or other social media management and design platforms
  • A passion for analytics and a keen ability to understand the story being told by the data
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and able to switch gears quickly to work on multiple projects at a time
  • Junior or Senior currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in journalism, mass communication, marketing, public relations or another relevant area of study

Nice To Haves

  • Prior social media experience using LinkedIn for a company is a big plus
  • Familiarity with Instagram, X and YouTube is also a plus, including vertical video on those platforms
  • Bonus if you know anything about or have an interest in networking and cybersecurity
  • Google Analytics or Tableau experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support community management, content development and social media strategy
  • Monitor social platforms, identifying opportunities to engage with our community or flag areas of attention, when/where necessary
  • Schedule and manage content across social media platforms including X, LinkedIn, Mastodon, and our internal employee social media advocacy tool, GaggleAMP
  • Maintain and organize social media calendar and schedules, ensuring content balance is congruent with best practices and aligned with top performing content insights
  • Assist in drafting and creating engaging social content, imagery, and video assets using Canva and other creative tools as needed
  • Pull, populate, and assess data for reporting purposes
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for new content ideas and activations
  • Support the Social Media Lead in daily tasks
