About The Position

NORY is seeking a Social Media Manager with a focus on Instagram to take ownership of their Instagram presence. The role involves capturing moments through video and imagery to articulate brand values and connect with parents and teachers. NORY is a STEM camp provider in NYC and Boston that aims to enrich children's learning experiences and cultivate problem-solvers. The content will focus on children creating robotic inventions and the camp's educational depth.

Requirements

Demonstrated success managing and growing brand Instagram accounts, ideally within the parenting, education, pediatric, or family-focused spaces.
A strong portfolio showcasing expert-level short-form video editing (Reels/TikTok formatting), baseline graphic design, and punchy copywriting.
A personable, engaging, and empathetic storytelling style.
Proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.
Takes feedback constructively.
Treats data as a guide.

Nice To Haves

Candidates based in the NYC area who can periodically visit our campsites to capture live content during the camp season are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop, curate, and manage a structured, high-impact Instagram content calendar.
Intentionally grow followers and engagement metrics, focusing on community impact.
Produce, shoot, and edit highly engaging Reels that capture emotional energy and educational depth.
Optimize short-form video content for reach, watch time, and retention.
Write compelling, human-centric captions that connect core values to parental concerns.
Turn technical curriculum themes into accessible, weekly narratives.
Design clean, simple, and brand-consistent static graphics or carousels.
Track weekly engagement metrics, saves, shares, and DM inquiries.
Interpret data trends to continuously iterate and pivot content strategy.
