About The Position

12Stone Church is seeking a relational and highly motivated Social Media Manager to join our Marketing team. This role owns the daily voice, presence, and community of 12Stone across our social platforms, split roughly 60 percent community engagement and brand building and 40 percent content creation. The priority is the replies, conversations, and relationships that turn followers into a connected community, supported by content that strengthens how people experience 12Stone online. This position requires a blend of pastoral instinct, sharp writing, and platform fluency. The ideal candidate is as comfortable in the comments as they are behind the content calendar, ensuring that every post and reply reflects who 12Stone is and how much we care about people.

Requirements

  • Must attend 12Stone Church.
  • 2+ years managing social media for a brand, organization, or church, or comparable experience.
  • Strong writing and a sharp instinct for voice, tone, and timing.
  • Fluency across major platforms and the tools to create for them (Canva, CapCut, or similar).
  • Highly responsive and organized, with the judgment to know what needs a reply now and what can wait.
  • A genuine love for people and alignment with the mission and values of 12Stone.
  • Emotionally and spiritually mature enough to represent 12Stone publicly.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Deep love of reaching people where they are.
  • High desire for personal development and growth in marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and respond to comments, direct messages, mentions, and tags across all platforms in a timely, on-brand, and pastoral way.
  • Build genuine relationships that turn passive followers into an active, connected community across all campuses, routing prayer and pastoral needs to the right people.
  • Serve as a consistent, recognizable voice for 12Stone, ensuring tone, language, and visuals reflect our brand in every post and reply.
  • Grow our audience and reach with an authentic presence, tracking platform trends to stay relevant without chasing every fad.
  • Create and curate engaging, platform-native content (graphics, short-form video, stories, and copy) on a calendar that balances community, brand, and ministry priorities.
  • Capture and repurpose moments from weekend services, events, and campuses, partnering with design and video to bring larger campaigns to life.
  • Work with the marketing team, ministries, and campuses to align social with broader initiatives and promote series and events at the right time and in the right voice.
  • Monitor engagement, growth, and performance, sharing insights and recommendations that sharpen our approach.
