About The Position

ECPI University is seeking a strategic, social-first storyteller to lead social media across ECPI University. This role is ideal for a strong strategist, writer, content planner, and collaborator who can translate institutional priorities into content that feels authentic, engaging, and relevant.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on social media management experience in a professional setting
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to adapt voice across platforms and audiences
  • Strong content creation skills, including photography, short-form video, basic editing, and social copywriting
  • Comfort being on camera and helping others feel comfortable participating in social content
  • Experience coordinating content shoots, managing calendars, and working across teams, departments, or locations
  • Experience building influencer, ambassador, student, alumni, or community partnerships
  • Comfort with analytics tools and social media management platforms
  • Experience with community management, including monitoring and responding to comments and reviews
  • Sound judgment, especially when representing a brand publicly, responding to audience engagement, and knowing when to escalate sensitive issues
  • A creative, detail-oriented, team-oriented mindset with strong organizational instincts and a willingness to support work beyond social media

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily planning, creation, publishing, and management of social content across ECPI University and affiliate channels.
  • Develop platform-specific content.
  • Manage the editorial calendar.
  • Coordinate shoots across campuses.
  • Work with faculty, students, alumni, subject matter experts, departments, and campus teams to capture stories from across the ECPI University experience.
  • Stay current on platform trends.
  • Use performance data to guide decisions.
  • Manage community engagement by monitoring and responding to comments.
  • Supervise the Digital Communications Specialist.
  • Collaborate with the broader marketing team on projects that support ECPI’s brand, mission, and enrollment goals.
