Do you get a kick out of watching engagement climb because of something you helped create? Want to build social channels that actually make an impact in the conservation space? We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to lead the rapid growth of our socials, with a strong focus on GVI (@gvitravel). Where creativity meets strategy This isn’t just a posting role. You’ll own social. From shaping strategy to scripting content, you’ll sit at the intersection of ideas and execution, working closely with in-house teams and global creators to bring content to life. Your main focus will be growing @gvitravel on TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn , while also guiding strategy and training team members across other brands in the portfolio where needed. THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF 💡 You’re plugged into social and know how to turn trends into meaningful content. 🎯 You’re ambitious, commercially minded, and driven by growth. ✨ You move fast: ideating, scripting, and briefing multiple videos with strong hooks and sharp copy. 🤳 You live and breathe TikTok and Instagram, and stay ahead of platform and audience shifts (especially Gen Z & Gen Alpha). 🚀 You’ve grown accounts before, and know how to do it again for us. 💻 You’re organised, structured, and thrive on building systems that keep content flowing. 🌍 You’re a strong collaborator who can train, align and inspire teams across different countries.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in social media management
  • 3+ years working on TikTok
  • Proven track record of growing Instagram & TikTok accounts
  • Strong understanding of growth levers and how to apply them
  • Excellent social copywriting skills
  • Experience in briefing and directing creators
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and fast-moving
  • Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Has managed or grown large accounts (100k+ is a big plus)
  • Thinks video-first and TikTok-first
  • Is bold, creative, and not afraid to push boundaries
  • Understands how to balance creativity with performance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in conservation, travel, volunteering, or gap-year sectors
  • Experience marketing to Gen Z audiences
  • Experience with UK and/or US markets
  • Agency background
  • Passion for social and environmental impact
  • Solid travel experience
