About The Position

Jerry is seeking a dedicated Reddit Social Media Manager to lead its presence on the platform. This role involves understanding Reddit's unique sub-cultures and community guidelines to build genuine authority and engagement. The manager will be responsible for transforming complex auto financial topics into valuable, upvote-worthy content, turning frustrated posts into trust-building service moments, and feeding insights back to product and content teams. The goal is to make car ownership simple, transparent, and affordable through authentic engagement on Reddit.

Requirements

Deep understanding of karma, subreddit dynamics, automods, shadowbans, and unspoken platform rules.
Ability to write naturally for Redditors and a dislike for corporate-speak.
2+ years managing organic social or community strategy, with a heavy emphasis on Reddit.
Experience within consumer tech, fintech, or insurtech, or a demonstrated track record of growing other social accounts.
Understanding that long-term trust and educational posts build more brand equity than quick conversion pushes.
Understanding of how Reddit content feeds into Google SGE, LLMs, and organic SEO.
Ability to handle pushback, skepticism, and tough questions with grace, humor, and honesty.

Responsibilities

Own Jerry’s official presence across Reddit, including brand-owned subreddits and organic engagement in broader automotive, financial, and consumer communities.
Establish Jerry’s Reddit voice, determining when to offer technical advice, use memes, or remain silent.
Craft high-effort, informative text posts, deep-dive guides, and visual breakdowns on car ownership, insurance savings, and maintenance tactics tailored to specific subreddit cultures.
Act as the first line of defense in threads discussing Jerry, responding transparently and helpfully to build trust.
Track key metrics including Karma growth, thread sentiment, share of voice, referral traffic, and the influence of Reddit discussions on search indexability and LLM citations.
Feed organic Reddit insights, emerging car-owner pain points, and trending topics back to Product and Content teams.
