About The Position

The Marketing Intern will independently manage and grow St. Ann Center's social media presence by capturing authentic stories, photos, and moments from across both campuses. This role focuses on increasing public awareness, strengthening community engagement, and showcasing the organization's mission through compelling digital content. The intern will work closely with leadership for guidance but will operate as the primary social media voice for the organization.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in marketing, communications, digital media, or journalism.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time effectively.
  • Comfortable interacting with children, adults, staff, and community members.
  • Basic photography/video skills; willingness to learn and improve.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and current trends.
  • Clear, concise writing skills with an eye for storytelling.
  • Respectful, professional, and mission-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update St. Ann Center's social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Tok-tok, LinkedIn, etc), ensuring consistent posting and brand alignment.
  • Capture photos, videos, and stories from childcare, adult day services, intergenerational activities, events, and staff highlights.
  • Write short, engaging posts that reflect St. Ann Center's mission, values, and community impact.
  • Respond to comments/messages, monitor engagement, and identify opportunities to grow audience reach.
  • Develop ideas to increase public awareness through digital campaigns, hashtags, partnerships, and cross-promotion.
  • Create and maintain a weekly posting schedule to ensure consistent, strategic communication.
  • Attend on-site events to gather photos, interviews, and real-time content.
  • Create simple social graphics using Canva or similar tools.
  • Monitor post performance and provide monthly summaries of reach, engagement, and growth.
