TYEP - Metro Action Commission - Social Media Intern
About The Position
The Social Media Intern will assist the Communications Department in developing Social Media Content and Campaigns for the agency's social media platforms. This role involves upholding the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Metro Action, including internal and external customer service, teamwork, and treating all people with respect, dignity, and compassion. The intern will write social media captions, take photos, assist with photo/video content, and monitor social media engagement daily to ensure timely and appropriate replies and interaction with followers. This is an in-person internship opportunity.
Requirements
- Strong written, verbal, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Proficient in Social Media skills required; will train on organization-level social media, but must have a working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Experience in graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe etc.
- Attention to detail and copywriting skills.
- Great written and oral communication skills.
Responsibilities
