About The Position
As the Social Media Intern, you will elevate Yelp's social media presence by supporting the growth and optimization of Yelp’s social media accounts. You will report to Yelp’s Senior Social Media Manager and assist with monthly editorial calendars, content creation, and copywriting, with a focus on Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest. This is a remote role based in Sacramento, CA.
Requirements
- Recent college graduate or pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in the United States.
- Currently reside in Orlando, have reliable transportation options, and are 21+.
- Ability to work up to 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Familiarity with social media tools like Sprout Social, Canva, and InShot.
- Experience with shooting and editing short form video content for both Instagram and TikTok.
- Experience with social media copywriting and asset coordination.
- Experience with community management.
- Incredibly organized.
- Creative at heart with the ability to contribute to social media content.
Responsibilities
- Create, execute, and schedule social content according to monthly editorial calendars.
- Identify trends and conversations for content creation opportunities.
- Activate on trending moments with quick turnarounds.
- Capture and edit video content from local businesses.
Benefits
- Compensation range for this position is $15.00 - $18.00 per hour.
