About The Position

Team 201 is looking for a creative, curious, and growth-minded Digital Marketing Intern to support content and social media marketing efforts across Team 201 and client accounts. You’ll work closely with our creative and content team to help support organic social media content creation, assist with reporting, drive leads, and contribute ideas that help B2B brands grow. This role is ideal for someone early in their marketing career who is excited to learn by doing. You should have a strong interest in social media and content creation, along with hands-on experience using Google Analytics to pull reports and surface insights. We’re also looking for someone who has actively explored AI tools, including experimenting with custom GPTs and other AI-powered tools for ideation, research, drafting, and process improvement. Your mission is to support social content execution, help turn performance data into insights, and bring fresh creative thinking to Team 201 and our clients. This role will report to our Senior Digital Marketing Specialist.

Requirements

  • Internship experience, coursework, freelance work, student organization work, or personal projects in marketing, social media, content, or communications
  • Strong interest in social media, content marketing, and digital growth
  • Experience using Google Analytics to pull reports and interpret basic performance metrics
  • Familiarity with social platform analytics and content performance tracking
  • Hands-on experimentation with AI tools for marketing workflows
  • Experience creating custom GPTs or similar AI-powered workflows/tools
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Comfort working across multiple projects and deadlines
  • Interest in agency work, B2B marketing, and helping brands grow
  • Candidates must be currently attending or have recently graduated from a top-ranked U.S. university (ranked in the top 100)

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with project management tools, social media management tools, or basic SEO is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with creating organic social media content for our clients; including ideating, writing, and scheduling social media posts.
  • Use AI-assisted tools in the content creation process, while learning how to refine outputs so content feels original, thoughtful, and on-brand.
  • Monitor client social channels indirectly and directly on a daily basis, and flag engagement opportunities. Channels include LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, Threads, and Bluesky.
  • Collaborate with designers, account managers, and other team members to support content and campaign execution across channels.
  • Pull reports in Google Analytics to help monitor website, content, and campaign performance.
  • Track key content and social metrics on a weekly basis and help identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with measuring campaign performance across social, content, and website activity.
  • Help connect creative output to business outcomes by learning how metrics inform strategy and optimization.
  • Support creative and growth experiments across social and content channels, including testing messaging, formats, hooks, and publishing approaches.
  • Bring curiosity around emerging tools and workflows, especially AI tools that can improve marketing efficiency and ideation.
  • Apply experience experimenting with AI tools, including custom GPTs, to suggest smarter ways to research, draft, organize, or streamline marketing work.
  • Continually research emerging social media and digital marketing trends/best practices for B2B companies.
  • Help keep projects organized across internal systems and timelines.
  • Participate in internal and client meetings weekly.
  • Assist with preparing notes, updates, and materials for internal planning or client-facing deliverables.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks, ask thoughtful questions, and proactively communicate progress and blockers.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, feedback-friendly team environment.
