About The Position

Genie Academy is New Jersey's premier learning center for kids, offering tutoring in math, reading, writing, coding, and more through a whole-brain approach built around each child's unique learning style. Since 2008, we've helped thousands of families across our NJ locations unlock their child's potential. We're now looking for a creative, driven Content Creator to bring our story to life online.

Requirements

• Proven experience creating and managing content across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
• Strong video filming and editing skills, with comfort using mobile and/or camera equipment
• A creative eye for design, with the ability to produce visually consistent graphics and posters using tools such as Canva, Adobe, or CapCut
• Trend-aware and culturally plugged in, with a habit of noticing what works before it peaks
• Self-motivated and organized, with a reliable track record of hitting posting schedules independently
• Able to travel between Genie Academy locations across NJ, including East Brunswick, Hillsborough, Marlboro, Plainsboro, South Brunswick, South Plainfield, and Woodbridge
• Comfortable working with children and families in an educational setting
• A portfolio or active social profile showcasing your content work is required to apply

Responsibilities

• Film and edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels and TikTok that feel authentic rather than overly produced. You'll travel between our NJ centers to capture real moments as they happen.
• Plan and manage a weekly content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and our website, maintaining a consistent posting schedule on all platforms.
• Design on-brand graphics, posters, and captions that are visually consistent and aligned with our brand voice, using tools such as Canva, Adobe, or CapCut.
• Actively engage with our online community by responding to comments and DMs, and interacting with like-minded accounts to grow our presence organically.
• Monitor performance metrics including reach, engagement, follower growth, and conversions.
• Track competitor content and stay ahead of trends to continuously sharpen our strategy.
• Work closely with the team to align content with upcoming promotions, events, and announcements.
• Attend Genie events in person to capture live content.
• Regularly bring fresh, original ideas to the table. We value creativity over consistency alone, so we expect you to pitch new concepts and act on cultural moments that fit our brand.
