About The Position

Mozilla is looking for a part-time content creator to help tell the story of their fight for an open internet on social media. The ideal candidate will understand internet culture, how ideas spread online, and can transform Mozilla's work and mission into educational and entertaining content that people want to share. This is an independent contractor opportunity.

Requirements

• Has a point of view and knows how to express it.
• Loves to create Reels and is a pro at editing.
• Is creative and full of ideas for social media.
• Is comfortable in front of the camera.
• Understands how the algorithm works and how to create content that performs.
• Cares about building an internet that works for all.
• Must provide a portfolio or examples of Instagram, TikTok, or other short-form social content created.
• Must include a brief introduction in the Cover Letter section explaining interest in the opportunity and suitability for the role.

Responsibilities

• Create and publish Social Media content (e.g. Instagram Reels, Stories) that builds awareness and community.
• Work closely with the Social Media Manager to surface people, moments, and ideas that will make Mozilla worth following.
