We're looking for a creative, self-driven Content Creator to own and grow our social presence across TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. This role focuses on producing high-volume, short-form video content that highlights in-store experiences, products, staff personalities, and brand culture optimized for reach, engagement, and foot traffic.

Requirements

  • Strong TikTok and/or Instagram presence (portfolio required)
  • Understanding of cannabis content advertising restrictions
  • Reliable, self-managed, and deadline-driven
  • 21+ and comfortable in a cannabis retail environment
  • Familiar with Michigan cannabis brands and culture

Responsibilities

  • Filming and editing of 10-15 short-form videos per week
  • 1-2 videos weekly across 5 Metro Detroit locations
  • Platform-ready formats: TikTok, Instagram Reels, Sponsored Meta Ads
  • On Site Coverage: Rotate through all 5 Metro Detroit stores regularly with occasional visits to Battle Creek, Kalamazoo, Corunna, and Monroe.
  • Capture: Store atmosphere & traffic, Product highlights (new drops, deals, top sellers), Staff personality & interactions, Customer moments (when appropriate)
  • Share monthly insights (reach, engagement, follower growth)
  • Help inform future content strategy
  • Stay on top of TikTok trends, audio, and formats
  • Quickly adapt trends to in-store content
  • Use strong hooks, fast edits, captions, and trending sounds
  • Deliver new content ideas weekly & proactively test new formats for: Product showcases, Staff & customer interactions, POV/day-in-the-life content, Promotions/events/drops
  • Content should be: Authentic (not overly polished), Fun, energetic, and local, Consistent with brand voice
  • Batch filming across locations, turning everyday store activity into entertaining content
  • Efficient capture (multiple videos per visit)
  • Comfortable on camera and filming in-store with staff/customers
  • Same-day or next-day turnaround
  • Include captions, hooks, quick cuts, and trending audio
