POSITION SUMMARY: The Social Designer will possess strong knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape, including major social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok, and YouTube. This position supports Goodwill’s mission by planning, curating, implementing, and continuously improving an established social media strategy across multiple channels. The Social Designer is responsible for posting and storytelling related to Goodwill’s mission, events, programs, retail initiatives, sustainability efforts, and community impact. This role creates engaging visual assets including photos, videos, and graphics using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and CapCut. The position also monitors social media performance, analyzes trends, and recommends improvements to content, format, and posting strategy to grow and engage audiences with the support of Hootsuite. Additionally, the Social Designer should be competent in WordPress, the ability to add blog posts, pop-ups, and new information to our website is essential. The person in this position should be a strong writer able to curate captions, blog posts, and emails for our email marketing program. Familiarity with email marketing software is a bonus.Our organization uses Campaign Monitor to maintain our email marketing program.
