About The Position

Avant Arte is seeking a freelance Social Content Researcher & Creator to generate engaging content ideas for their social media channels, particularly Instagram. The role involves researching the art world, contemporary artists, and related creative fields to identify trends and moments that can be transformed into compelling social media content. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media performance, visual content, and audience tailoring.

Requirements

• Good content instincts, with some knowledge of best practices and what facilitates success on social media platforms, particularly Instagram.
• Strong on visuals.
• Understanding of tailoring content to specific audiences.
• Able to accurately represent large amounts of information in detailed but concise briefs.
• Highly organised and efficient, able to take initiative.
• Comfortable and dependable working to weekly deadlines.
• Happy to work both self-sufficiently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and an aptitude for accuracy.
• Knowledgeable or enthusiastic about the art world and contemporary artists.

Responsibilities

• Research the art world, contemporary artists, and adjacent creative fields to source a high volume of original content ideas for social media publishing.
• Track social media and platform trends, particularly on Instagram, to identify content likely to perform well.
• Prepare content proposals in batches, tailored to support always-on channels.
• Write clear, concise content briefs that accurately distill complex information for the team.
• Tailor content ideas and framing to specific audience segments.
• Support the creation of social media assets using design software and brand templates.
• Manage own research and proposal pipeline to meet weekly deadlines.
• Develop selected ideas or briefs into finished social content, including copy and visual assets.
• Work across two formats: higher-lift narrative carousels and simpler, text-led carousels.
